Hi,

I have a couple of questions. Once I get my citizenship, I want to bring my parent from Korea. They are currently living in Korea.

1. For biometrics and interview - do they need to be in the US or they can go to the US embassy in Korea?

2. For the medical exam, can they get their exam done in Korea and send me the file to me?

3. Can I file both I130 and I485 concurrently?

4. When can they come to the US? and what visa?

Thank you in advance!

hi

no they will go through consular processing, medical and interview in their country, and will be done a few days before their interview at the US consulate, they don't send you anything. read the guides so you will be informed once you become a USC

they won't need to file the i485

1.  Korea

2.  No.  It doesn't work like that

3.  No.  It doesn't work like that

4.  IF they qualify, they can visit with a visitor visa, but they MUST return to Korea.

1) since they are currently Korea they should interview and have their medical in Korea.   To arrive on a visitor visa with the intent to adjust their status is immigration fraud

2) no the exam will be taken or sent to the embassy in Korea

3) no they are not in the USA.  They will not need an I-485  https://www.uscis.gov/family/family-us-citizens/parents/bringing-parents-live-united-states-permanent-residents

4)  After you become a USC it will take about 1 year for the consular filing process.  They will arrive on an IR5 visa.
