I recently got the transfer notice as well (VSC filer). Except mine was transferred to the National Benefits Center "so that an interview may be scheduled". We also filed N400 online so I'm wondering if that is what triggered the transfer so that it could be combined with the N400 case?

That's really interesting, thanks for sharing. Will you keep us posted? Some of us here are combi cases like you. I'm a CSC Oct 2017 filer, applied for N400 in Oct 2018, not heard anything as yet on my I-751.

Does anyone know if Asylum cases are processed at local offices or service centers? There are 10,000 migrants about to apply for asylum down by california which im pretty sure is going to create a bigger backlog of applications. Eiither way. I am screwed because my local office is San Diego and service center is CSC. Any thoughts?

At this moment Nebraska is slow, as all other service centers anyway. It might take a while but hopefully things will be resolved before Christmas 🙂

Just checked on Case tracker App. They cleared some of Octobers now.                  ( California filer).  I guess Transfered applicant will need to wait by Feb but who knows .

Correct but asylum has always been an 'issue' just not broadcasted as much as it is now, for obvious reasons. Asylum officers always have their hands full, so what's going on at the border may or may not have a huge impact but the backlog has been growing for sure. One would have to look into asylum cases received by USCIS and how many are processed and see what's the trend there.

@ros88 I also got transferred to Nebraska about a month ago as well. I guess we have no other choice but wait. I really hope we can get an approval before the year is over.
