You can also make a case inquiry if you haven't received the 18 months extension letter. Not too while ago, they sent new extension letters because case processing takes longer than a year now.

What type of case inquiry do you suggest I make? My case has not yet exceeded the estimated processing time (15.5 to 21.5 months).

Hi all. Tonight (close to 9pm EST) I received a number of text messages saying to check my case. When I did, I saw that my "case was transferred and new office has jurisdiction." I am a VSC filer though with a NOA date of October 10th. When I checked the app for the cases around mine, I saw that there were a number of cases which were also transferred. I got the texts close to 9pm so I couldn't call USCIS to find out where it was transferred. Will have to wait till Monday. Up until now, I thought only CSC cases were being transferred. Has any October 2017 VSC filers cases been transferred as well?

I’m a VSC October 2017 filer as well. Received the message yesterday. So I guess both CSC and VSC are now in the same boat...

Thank you for responding. Yes, I guess we are in the same boat. I'm not sure if USCIS is open tomorrow (Friday) but I will call to see where the case was transferred to. I hope it won't be long now for us.

Happy Thanksgiving to you all! a September VSC filer who was transfered to Texas on 10/29 got an approval today. (less than a month!) hope we can see the same hastiness with the transfers happening for October 2017 filers. Good luck! :D

You can make a case inquiry that you haven't received the second extension letter. Try submitting the "did not receive notice by mail" by mail and explain that you haven't gotten the 18-month extension letter. :)

I called USCIS today and the automated system stated that my case was transferred to Texas Service Center. There are issues with their automated system so I couldn't be transferred to live help and when I called in Wednesday I wasn't getting the info). So Texas it is!

(I originally was a VCS filer/NOA October 10th)

I have seen people get approvals within a month after being transferred to Texas. Hopefully that's the same for your case 🙂 Best of luck
