British Groceries Onine

Looking to see where other expats are getting their taste of home.  We've used britishfoodshop.com a few times, but I'm hoping to find someplace that might be a bit more reasonable on shipping to the Midwest US.

Thanks!

Depending on what you are looking for...try a local Indian grocery store! Unexpectedly  a great source of things like Tetley loose leaf tea at a very reasonable price!

Mostly things like snacks (chocolate and crisps), Robinson's squash, brands of jam I like, mince pie filling, Bisto, brown sauce, etc.  Really just various things that are hard to get at the local markets.  We have managed to get some places here to carry PG Tips and Marmite.  There are a few Indian shops nearby I will check out.  Thanks for the tip :)

Wish america didn't individually wrap the British brand teabags though that's just weird.

I also send my husband back to the UK once a year for supplies that we can't get in any of the usual places I mentioned above, well that and to see his mom. He grew up in the uk so understands how getting the little things in can reduce the homesickness.

LOL I almost spat my coffee out!  Not too sure why they picked on KC for that particular homosexual slur.

I didn't even think to look at Amazon, and we've been prime members for a few years.  Did a quick search and found several things.  Awesome suggestion!

I coached football (soccer) in the Mid-West and I was based in Kansas City for about 9 months. My geography is pretty rubbish so this may be pretty far from you! However, in Lawrence KS there is an English shop!! It's reallllllllly good! I'm not sure if they have an online, may be worth a search!

Edit: The shop may actually be in Manhattan KS! My memory is as bad as my geography!

I know the place - Brits in Lawrence, KS.  It's about an hour drive from here, so it's mildly inconvenient to make the trip.  We've driven out there a few times when we both have a free day off together (which isn't very often).  They do have a decent selection, however.

Midwest here also, not sure of the shops you have but we have Lund's, Hy-Vee, and Kowalski's and they all have a British aisle... Hy-Vee tends to be the best... we stock up on baked beans, Ribena and other squash, custard, proper mint sauce, jams, crisps, etc. and it has kept us quite happy. But yes, when we visit England (once a year, twice if we're lucky) we still love to fill our suitcases and occasionally mum will send some chocolates.
