Thanks! I didn't know there was a difference in oaths until the judge enlightened me. I've heard of people waiting for months for an oath ceremony in ND. This could be the reason why. It's a low priority for the courts.

it will be the 4th month since e-filing...what a long journey. my friend at NY filed at the same week as mine and already finished oath a week ago.

 H1b ---> EB-1A (I-140) ---> I-485 AOS(Green Card) ---> 5 years --->  US Citizenship N400 application

  • Day 0:  11/16/2017, e-filing N400
  • Day 306:  9/18/2018,  interview day--passed and in line for oath.
  • Day 332: 10/15/2018, Oath Day

I know, we are "special" here in MN ... takes us 1 year to get the same ...:(

My wife has her interview on 1/25. She passed everything, but "decision could not be made". We assume due to the name change request. We still haven't received notice about oath ceremony yet. They said it technically could take 1 month to 6 months, but I assume it would be much closer to 1 month.

 

I think I will give the USCIS a call and see if I can get some explanation. Has anyone found a number for the local Minneapolis Field Office? I only see an emergency number and otherwise you can schedule in-person appointments, but there aren't any available, the last time I looked.

And you think 4 months is a long journey???

im also a NYC field office and applied las June 2017, just had my interview last Tuesday feb 27

still waiting on the oath ceremony!
