Good morning to all of you friends...

I have a very important question about i-130 first step.

I'm affraid to get a R.F.E for this reason:

 

My Marriage certificate is in spanish, so we translated it and include in the i-130 package, the translation says everything: Names, City of Marriage, Date of marriage, Date of Register , name of the Notary, name of the people in charge of register it , date of registry etc.

 

Now my question is, if that translated copy, that was maked by a certified  personnel includes all that data, the spanish copy is not neccesary if they are asking for a copy translated in English right...

Now I'm really affraid to get one of the Nemesis of the Visa Journey (AN RFE) ...

If so, what happens, if they asked me for the spanish copy, what should I do, and how many time would it delay my process?

Sincerely waiting for your prompt response, and please , include my wife, my step son and I in your prays not to get an RFE for this!

We 're kind of stressed about the process, and a RFE would be a cold ice cube over us...

You still need the original (copy) of your marriage certificate so they can see what the real thing is. Just translation without the real document will not suffice and you should expect an RFE.

I have the original one in my hand, but what I'm saying is that in the i-130 I should include a Photocopy of the original (in spanish) and also accompanied by the translation in English.

 

Or maybe not get the RFE because I have to present the original one at the embassy, and provide again another copy translated in a future stage?

Help with this please, we are worried about this!!!!!

 

Another Question , how a RFE in this particular case would slow the process down!

Wow another Question, in case of get an RFE we have to send it all over again:

 

I mean , the affidavit of support, the translations again, the photos, I mean , the entire i-130 package again (of course not the money order again)

Or just send them the one thing that they requested? In my case the photocopy on my marriage certificate (in case that we got the RFE)!!!!

Please, the more the time advances the more concerned we are!!!!!

Include a copy of your marriage certificate along with the translation. DO NOT just send the translation without a copy of the marriage certificate.

If you receive an RFE you will just have to send the supporting documents they are request and not the entire packet again. It is best practice to send it as a certified mail along with tracking. In addition, they will give you a date of when you need to respond by.

Send the original Spanish copy as well as the certified English translation copy.
