Why do they have to report nationality? It is irrelevant, and is sort of inducing stereotypes to readers who already hate Koreans.

You dont watch or read the news do you? Anytime there is a story on a person, they report the nationality of the person. If hes white they state "a white male/female", if it was a mexican " a mexican male/female"....bla bla you get my point, so there was nothing wrong in announcing the mans nationality. And it deff would not cause ppl to hate koreans bc of this.

Yesterday the rumors were about an 'Asian' gunman; today's paper just gave the information they had. Nearly any crime describes the criminal and anything specific about him; we knew Dylan Klebold and Eric Harris were white.

And you know what, pretty sure most people'd figure out his ethnicity from his name and photo enough even if they didn't mention he was Korean.

watch the news more, they usually 90% of the time use nationality, wheather it is international or not.
