I know this question has been asked several times but the ones I could find after searching on this site were from 3-5 years ago, some even older. I would just like updated info from people who sent docs to the Philippines for their loved one's interview (2015 or more recent).

So which courier did you use? How long did it take for the documents to get there? How much did it cost you?

Thanks in advance for any reply. I'm getting the documents ready for my parents' interview and hopefully I'll be able to send them by Friday. :)

I checked with DHL and FedEx and chose DHL due to price. It took about a week. I have used LBC for BB's many times but they did not have air service at the time. Now that they do I will probably try them if I need to send again.

If you live close to a LBC then it costs about $50 and takes about 1-2 weeks. The only other reliable ones are DHL and Fedex. Do NOT use USPS at all to send things to the Philippines.

FedEx was my wife's choice so that is what I used.  But there is UPS, DHL ... and don't forget LBC if you have access - they are the cheapest (so I learned)

This is why you never ever use USPS to send anything to the Philippines

Exactly!!!   Someone at PhilPost opened the box, liked what they saw...  *poof*

Every single thing I've sent through Philpost had an interesting fee added at the end.  They open the letter, see what it is worth than try to charge the recipient a "delivery fee".  My future asawa had to pick up the documents so they didn't actually deliver anything.  A copy of the I-129F was being held hostage for 5000 php until one of Rose's friends who works at the post office greeted her.  The price went down to 500 php and directly into the person's pocket.

PHILIPPINES ONLY!!!  CFO (Commission on Filipinos Overseas) INFO - Can't leave home without it!

PDOS (Pre-Departure Registration and Orientation Seminar) is for ages 20-59.  Peer Counseling is for 13-19 years of age.

It is required to have the visa in their passport for PDOS and Peer Counseling.

GCP (Guidance and Counseling Program) is for K-1 Fiancee and IR/CR-1 spouse ONLY.
