One other idea is that we included a health insurance coverage exemption form with our tax return this year, but then I got a letter requesting the healthcare coverage exemption form a couple weeks ago, which means the IRS lost the form we attached with our 1040EZ.

 

One other idea is that we took a trip last month for 25 days to my wife's home country to visit family. Our total time outside the USA since my wife became a resident is less than one month. Our itinerary on our last trip to Peru included a layover in Mexico City. The airline was stupid so we had to go through Mexican customs and immigration to connect to our next flight. We told the interviewer we took a trip to Peru, and even showed our flight  reservations (more evidence of relationship), which showed the layover in Mexico. Maybe since her international movements show two entries into Mexico, and we didn't specifically state this to the interviewer...our itinerary shows an 8-hour layover in Mexico City, so you'd think they'd be able to figure it out.

 

Since I can only think of the aforementioned stupid reasons, It seems like someone denied the application just because they could.

751 was still pending, so the interviewer also went over that form during the interview.

It looks like I'm one of the last people without an interview date!   

 

Well... It's kind of what I was expecting since I'm usually one of the last ones to hear!   Oh, well.

I totally feel you, but please try to stay positive, I know you are really fed up, but it will come to you probably when you are least expected. Fingers crossed.

I remember you said you were afraid your husband won't make it to your oath ceremony and watch you becoming a citizen. So sorry for your loss.  節哀。

Yes, sadly and unfortunately, my husband passed 3 days after the interview. I put up a packet loaded with medical records and evidence and dr's letters trying to push for expedited swearing in and approval of 400 and 751 based on his illness and humanitarian ground , but they could not make a decision, and 3 days later, my husband went to heaven. I don't know how much more or better I could have done, I guess someone must have reviewed it and ended up approving it. I am happy and sad at the same time, but I know he is smiling in spirit next to me and his spirit was definitely at the oath. Thank you for your condolences and support.
