Excited? Meh. I don't even want citizenship. I'm only getting it so I can get the hell out of the US without having to abandon my green card in case I ever have to move back. As for timeline, from what I've seen after looking through a few case status report threads is that the oath date is usually assigned about two weeks after the interview (if approval was given on the spot), and then usually about a month after that is the oath. So considering there are three federal holidays in the next two months (thanksgiving, christmas, and new years) I'm expecting the oath date to be sometime in the first half of january. 

I think there was some confusion going about who is from what thread and who filed in which month. CalforniaWife said she didn't know why she couldn't ask any questions in response to you, so I guess I misunderstood, if that is the case, my bad. You are getting your citizenship anyway, maybe you will like it better down the road. I look forward to becoming a citizen myself. Just 6 or 7 months, and I will be there.

I read somewhere that the officer asked for TAX RETURN TRANSCRIPTS  but i donno what her case was and all so just checking ..thanks man .... congrats by the way

All depends on your case. If you're filing under the 3 year via marriage, you will probably need that.

I guess I can call it "Citizenship for convenience",lol.  I have always wanted to become an American and I am glad I am almost there after being in the states with my man for 20 years. Any idea on how to schedule an Infopass appointment without using the online tool?

I need to get the I-551 stamp because my extension letter is going to expire soon, and I have been stuck to the appointment application for 3 days in a row. They never have openings available.

Do they accept walk-ins? Can i make an appointment at the Field Office?

You just have to keep trying until the time slot is available, you can try early in AM like 7 or sometimes after midnight. You can try another field office near your zip code. No, you can't walk in for 551, they will reject you. They only accept people who have their appointments.

Totally your right but I have to say that attitude is quite shocking given that many of us here have been waiting for years to fulfill our dream of becoming a citizen of this great country. Obviously no one can force you how to feel about it one way or another and it's your right but it's quite frustrating and insulting that someone who wants to get out and doesn't even want to become American goes through the process so quickly and isn't even appreciative
