are you saying you're driving a rav4 now?

I guess I can say this since none of you are potential customers. I bought my wife a new rav 4. I drove it to Atlanta Sunday. I do not like that car. Highlander rocks.

Did he tell you to just move up to the second window if you want your food?

I'm rather oblivious when it comes to forum stuff. ;)

Anyways, the only comparable experience I have with Israelis is South Koreans.

I worked for a gaming company thats office was inside an HQ sponsored by the SK government for start-ups abroad (in the sense of initial investments abroad, not necessarily a new company).

I had never seen so many people chain smoking in my life. I was like the only one who didn't smoke. Of course, I realized that the reason they were like this was because that was their coping mechanism for the state of fear they were always in due to the North Korea situation.

I have a very expressed interest in how people psychologically react to those states of persistent fear, especially when it comes to violence and war. The apparent matter of fact way Israelis react is a different thing to me. But also, I don't think they really fear any kind of annihilation, given they could destroy everyone around them in a matter of hours.

It's just a way of life you know what I mean? The first time I went to Milwaukee we had alot of tornado sirens going off and I told my wife that scares me more than rockets. I wasn't used to it, she was. People who live in areas with tornadoes are accustomed to it -  each place has its own different kind of peril I guess lol

And that's another thing...some places have earthquakes. For others it's hurricanes. There's always some kinda danger somewhere. I know my wife felt very safe in Israel, according to her safer than she does here because she says at least over there we're more aware and prepared. To this day she will tell people about the government issued gas mask she received with her residency there.

I gotta say, all that preparation and rational method of coping, combined with good support system.. seems like a pretty good psychological foundation to me. Desperately needed in the US to calm down the hysterics over minor things.

So much Obama win..

“The military did not come forward and ask for the transgender ban to be lifted. That was imposed on the military by Secretary of Defense [Ash] Carter last June, literally six months before the end of the Obama administration,” Keane told FOX Business’ Stuart Varney.

Yeah...it kinda makes me chuckle when people in other places see an attack somewhere around the world and go "oh I walked 10 minutes away from that place 15 years ago for 5 seconds". lol I personally knew someone who went to school with me who ended up dying in a bus bombing and I also have a friend who lost a family member in an attack and I'm not unique for either. It's kinda like cancer seems to be these days - everyone knows someone who has it or had it or at least know someone who knows someone.

Not quite my point.  The president said it was a military decision, the military is going "huh?  We didn't know" even Tillerson was surprised
