Hi! I wanted to ask: We sent in documents for AOS and now I will have to go for biometrics appointment on 1st August. I don't have a valid ID with a photo now because my passport is not valid anymore because of my last name change and America refused to give me a driver's license now, I had to get it before my I-94 expired. I also cannot get so fast my new Latvian passport. Will it be ok to go for biometrics with the passport with my maiden name+marriage certificate, Social security card with the new married name and other documents but not a photo ID with the new married name? Maybe I can get some other State issued photo ID? Thanks!

Your passport is still valid. All you have to do is just bring it and the original copy of marriage certificate to the appointment

and of course the appointment letter

Your Latvian passport is invalid from the day you register your new name in Latvia - needless to say a passport with the wrong name on it isn't valid. My passport wasn't valid anymore either since I had already changed my name in Sweden by the time I had my biometrics, but I used it anyway and it wasn't an issue at all. Just like you I had no other ID than my no longer valid passport. Bring your marriage certificate just in case they want to see proof of name change.
