Concurrent filing I 130 with I 485 parents (merged)

Hi,

I am finalizing the packages to file and had couple more questions, I would appreciate your feedback:

1. I-130 I am the petitioner - do I need to include all the pages of my US passport or just the first page?

2. Should I also send a copy of my social security and drivers license? My driver's license has my last address.

3. What is the best option to send out the application - fedex overnight?

Thanks

Oh---and write separate checks with the memo part filled out with the application # and name of applicant...easy for you to keep track of so you know what reached whom, and when.

Don't make the mistake some people do and combine all the payments into one huge check.  That gets confusing for the person who's processing it all.

One clarification, what did you mean by application #?

Okay ,nice questions you need to include just your biography page of your USA passport you don't need to include everything just a place that shows your face and your date of birth and other relevant info

2. A copy of your driver license is okay you don't need to send your  social security card they know who you are ... I will  only advise you to even send your passport copy only but a driver license is good also and your last address has nothing to do with it , people change location and they should see on the forms you filed I.e your recent address for the past five years ...

3. You can send your application with us postal service they have overnight delivery also but why in a rush ? With USPS it should get there in three days (priority ) and it's just 6 dollars ... mind you , if you are sending with FEDEX OR DHL , they have a different address you send it to please I will advise using USPS thanks and hope this is helpful

Definitely don't need the G-325A anymore.

The tax transcripts should suffice as it would cover all the bases. No harm including other available documents such as your paystubs if you want to or have available :)

Sorry, wanted to clarify if I filed i 485 from 01/01/2017 revision, G 325 a is no longer needed?

I also filed i 130 form with it

I think I might get RFE for not including G325A for my parents with I485 (concurrent filing with I130). I used the form dated 1/1/2017 for I485. My lawyer friend said I dont need to submit G325A but I now think I should have. How long RFE will delay the process? every link I read said that its better to wait for RFE rather than submit G325As now.

Thank you !

It's not a matter of it being better to wait for the rfe, you MUST wait for the rfe and send it back with the documents that are requested. Plus, you are assuming that you know what they want. You could be wrong and end up complicating matters.

If you file the 06/26/2017 edition of I-485, which is currently available on USCIS website, that's the version that doesn't require G-325A :)

For my I-129F, K-1, AOS, EAD, AP and ROC detailed timelines, please refer to my timeline page :)

ROC filed on December 1, 2020, assigned to SRC, approved within 106 days on February 18, 2021.

I came back to look at your timeline. You were adjusting from K-1 and your I-485 was already approved. However, just for info sake, you didn't need to file the I-130 with the I-485 since you're a K-1 visa holder. It really shouldn't matter now because you're approved just fine :)

Oh I see! :) Did you send the forms out yet? If you haven't, used the latest edition form. With the latest I-485, you'll be sending in the I-485 with I-130. No need for G-325A.

Thanks. Unfortunately I already sent them out. So I guess I just need to wait for RFE.

It may or may not result in a RFE because the I-485 page on USCIS website did say the 1/17/17 edition is valid till 8/24/2017.

If you are concerned, complete the new form now so when you do get a RFE, you can send your RFE response out quickly :)
