Evidence of two divorces

I've just been reading a few things on the forums, and to my horror it has just occurred to me that my husband only sent in his last divorce papers but not the first (married twice).

I've reread the i130 instructions and am a bit confused as to whether they require both or just the last one as surely the last one proves he was free to marry?

 

I suspect they require both now so my next question is, can you submit further evidence to USCIS before your case is opened? We filed in June so relatively new.

I believe that they will need each divorce decree 

 

Can you try reaching out to the USCIS directly?

 

For (Arizona Lockbox):

Maybe someone seasoned here may have a better option as well.

My advice would be not to send it in now.  You disclosed the second divorce on the application, right?  If so, wait until you get an RFE for the second set of divorce documents before sending it in.  That way you can be sure it reaches the office handling your case directly.  Sending it now before your case is even under processing is going to confuse them, and may get lost in the shuffle.

Thanks for the replies, yes we included the marriage/divorce on the forms.

 

I may have to get husband to try and contact them. I didn't really want to wait for an RFE and waste time but I can see your point about it possibly getting lost in the paperwork.

For the record, they were very quick with our RFE, 10-12 day turn around time

Well at least thats encouraging

 

Our case was sent to Texas, I'm not sure why, I would've thought it would go to California seeing thats where he is. Wish it was, from what I've seen they're ahead at the moment.
