Positive only please.  I know it's really hard to get a tourist visa for Filipino parents specially when they don't have money.  But I'm wondering if there are people here who got approved easily and without problems.  Thank you.

No one can say for sure if your parents will be approved for a Tourist Visa. Best thing to do is apply and see what happens. We have seen lots of Filipino parents get approved and others not. Each CO evaluates the interview and paperwork differently. So it's sometimes the luck of the draw. If they have land, a house, a business and money in the bank which gives them a reason to come back to the Phil then your chances are greater. Just can't say for sure because there are so many variables that the CO considers and we can't read there minds.  Best to just apply and see what happens. Good luck.

I generally ask about all of their children, how many in the U.S.? How many in the Philippines? Do their other kids have tourist visas?

If it seems like the majority of their children are still in the Philippines and they have good jobs (ie, the means to support their parents), I'm more inclined to say yes. Older people have a more difficult time adjusting to the U.S. A lot of IR5s (parents of US citizens) end up abandoning their green cards and moving back home.

Have seen many parents get approved from the PHL. Certainly not impossible.

But you have to look at the complete picture. Philippines, like Mexico and India, has the some of the highest number of visa applications. So the amount of denials seem higher.

Actually older people do not have as difficult a time getting a tourist visa.  I have seen posts where a fair number of parents get tourist visas.
