I just checked on the IMMIGRANT VISA APPLICATION and it says At NVC with the ff statetment below attached;

 

Please follow the instructions you received from the National Visa Center (NVC) that list the six steps you must take before NVC can schedule your visa interview appointment. This includes submitting to NVC various fees, forms and documents. Once NVC has received all the required items, they will let you know if anything is missing or incomplete. You can also find these instructions online at http://nvc.state.gov (English) and http://nvc.state.gov/espanol (Spanish). You will find contact information for NVC at http://nvc.state.gov/ask.

 

I have already submitted all the necessary documents and paid all fees so I am just curious about what the above message means. Please help me out if you understand what it means.

It is completely normal. It just means the next step will be "case complete" or a checklist.......patience is needed now......Good Luck.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

Yeah. I have the same message and they confirmed that they've received my docs and my fees June 22nd. So I believe this status does not change until you are at "case complete" or you get a checklist. We're in the same boat!

Once your case is completed, the status updates to "At NVC." 

 

 Once an interview is scheduled, it will usually change to "In transit" within a day or two when they send your documents off to the embassy/consulate.

  • 03-22-2017:  USCIS sent case to NVC, Case Status changed to "We sent your case to the Department of State for visa processing"

  • 07-13-2017:  NVC rep confirmed Interview Date assigned

  • 07-20-2017:  11 Week (77 day) expected Case Complete from Scan Date (5/4/2017)
  • 07-21-2017:  Appointment with General Practitioner to get all required shots and medical history

December 18, 2023:  Filed I-90 to renew Green Card

December 21, 2023:  Production of new Green Card ordered - will be seeing USCIS again every 10 years for renewal

July 23, 2025:  Filed N-400 online
