Hi All,

 

Does anyone know if a divorce decree, to be submitted as part of K1 process, has to be Court Certified within a certain timeframe ?  The reason I asked is I have a Certified copy of the decree but the date on the stamp is almost a year old, does this still work ? or do I have to go get another certified one with recent date.

You can use the one you have. It has to be certified, which usually means an official stamp from the court and a raised seal. My copy was old and I didn't have an issue.

Date doesn't matter.

Congratulations in the approval! Did they ask for a certified divorce decree? Whast about any original documents?
