I know these questions have been asked before, but after searching the forums, there are conflicting answers.  Half the responses say one thing the other have say the opposite!  I am trying to prepare the documents I will need now so I can bring as much as possible to my fiance in August.  Can anyone with recent experience respond?

- My fiance (K1) and her 7 year old daughter (K2) will come to the U.S. at the same time.  Is it correct that I need just one 134 affidavit of support with supporting evidence to cover the K1 and K2 visas?

- My income is above the 125% level.  Will I only need to provide a letter from my employer (U.S. government agency), 2016 tax return, 3 years of IRS transcripts and W2s, and several pay stubs?

- If it is recommended that I include bank statements and letters regarding bank accounts, do I need them for every account or just the account my salary is direct deposited into?  I ask because I have 9 accounts (checking, savings, investment, and custodial accounts) with 4 banks plus a mortgage account with a 5th bank.

- The 134 asks about value of personal property (Part 3, #5) and stocks and bonds value (Part 3, #6).  Do I include my Thrift Savings Plan (Government 401K retirement account) balance in one of these?

- Finally, several posts have said I only need to provide evidence of my salary because it is above 125%.  If that is the case, do I leave the spaces for stocks, personal property, life insurance, and real estate blank or mark it "N/A"?

Thanks for your help! - Jason

Yes only one I-134. This will cover them both so you salary have to be able to cover both of them.

have the child gotten his/hers own medical, DS-160 and k-2 fee? Otherwise remember that.

We didn't bring employment letter nor bank letter but if people at your embassy says they get asked for it then yes you should bring that and tax return, w2's and 6 months of pay stubs

I was interviewed (along with my VN fiancee) at the Saigon consulate. The main thing we talked about was taxes and employment. At the time, I was a government employee and owned a business, so I just used three years of taxes (transcript) and most recent pay stub (W-2). The W-2 will reflect past earnings, so no need to have six or any other arbitrary number that some people will advise. Again, an IRS transcript reflecting three years of taxes and a recent W-2 is all you need. The interview was odd because although I make way over the required minimum, they still wanted to talk about my job and income. I was concerned because I had a lengthy legal battle with the IRS that got pretty nasty - a battle that I won. The consulate officer made me explain my job, what I do, how it will affect my marriage, etc. Very strange. But we received the visa. And so will you. Don't sweat it. Good luck. And have fun at the consulate - it's a crazy place!
