What questions to expect at Visa Interview Appointment

Hi all.

Does anyone remember what questions they asked you at your interview appointment for spouse visa, if you don't mind me asking? I've researched but i'd like to know from your personal experience.  I am an american girl married to a pakistani.

My wife went through the UK embassy. They asked her very few questions. Interview lasted about 5 minutes.

 

She said it was very similar to what she used to get asked when entering the country to visit me. When did we meet, where, how long have we been married, where did we marry. My wife had a photo album of our life together and the lady didn't want to see it. I believe the woman also asked my wife what I did for work and what my wife does.

 

My wife was very worried about the process, and then when it happened it was over very quickly. Keep in mind though that different embassies may be more/less strict depending on the country. I'm also not sure how different the experience is from case to case. Whether some people going to interview have already been flagged for a longer interview or shorter. Based on my experience with the whole system I assume they don't do much preparation/planning before hand.
