Today, we received in the mail, an I-797 "Congratulations! Your request for the removal of the conditional basis of your permanent resident status has been approved.  You are deemed to be a Lawful Permanent Resident of the United States as of the date of your original admission or adjustment of status.  You should receive a new Permanent Resident Card ... within 60 days."

We were greatly surprised and didn't expect this for another 6-9 months.  The letter is dated Feb 28, and yet, the online status says that our case was transferred to our local office on March 4.  Seems backwards.

Err... Say what? A CSC July 2017 approval, when they are allegedly processing September 2016 cases.

Umh ... Congratulations! :-)

What the hell is going on?

Our attorney just called us and said they also received a copy of our approval.  She was surprised also.  She plugged in all of our numbers (receipt and A-number) and it all checked out.  Guess we'll see what happens next.

Neither.  It came from Lee's Summit, MO office.  I'm wondering if maybe a whole bunch of our applications got shipped around to get rid of the backlog?

No Lee's Summit is just a printing and mailing location.

Look at your mailer for first 2 year green card.

Wife's also was mailed from Lee's Summit (and I assume same for most everyone here) even as most all of us went through processing at our local offices.

Well, my first successful attempt to check NOA1 was on 26th. Then I created a USCIS account to see the details. It turned out that there was a transfer message on Feb 25th which is a Sunday I believe, and then same transfer message on the 26th when I first checked. I also called 1-800 number to check the NOA1 status and it says:" We have transferred your case to a USCIS Office.....allow 180 days for processing before making an inquiry."

Hey guys,

I did my biometrics  August of 2017 and after that my status hasn’t change to “Your fingerprints have been received”. Is it normal? It just says “Case was Received”.

God has perfect timing; never early, never late. It takes a little patience and it takes a lot of faith but it's worth the wait. ❤️

I just checked my biometircs receipt again to review it and it’s showing two receipt numbers, (1.) I-751 and (2.) CRI-89. Why there’s two? I’m totally confused.

When I checked the receipt number for I-751, it says that “CASE  WAS RECEIVED AT MY LOCAL OFFICE. On March 5,2018, we received your form I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence, Receipt number WACxxxxxxxxxx , at your local office.”

So which receipt should I check?

there is also an option for an automated system to check the status by entering the receipt number from the keypad on your phone.

Hi babe2012, it appears that many of us I-751 filers, recent and past, have received these messages only when checking online.  While nothing has been totally confirmed by USCIS (even tier 2 agents are giving mixed messages) via email or snail mail we are hopeful this is a sign that USCIS is dispersing workloads from VSC and CSC and sending our apps to local offices.  This is a USCIS office near you that handles infopass appts, interviews, etc.  There should be one close to you or within a couple of hours.  In your case, since your from CA, I have no idea which would be yours as I would suspect there are several nearby.

There are 2 numbers associated with your case.  The 1st WAC is receipt of your case received and payment made, the 2nd indicates your biometrics appt.  Some people have  'transferred to local offices' when checking both numbers while others only get the message with the 1st WAC.  It is still unconfirmed what both messages mean, only time will tell.  I have read that at least 2 people have received confirmation of their 10 GC being granted since this message first originated on Feb 26, but it hasn't been confirmed as to why when people back in Oct/Nov/Dec are still waiting.

Hi All,

Just heard back from my immigration attorney regarding this matter. She basically half confirmed this. She said there has been a change on USCIS policy that they are going to interview all I751s, which is why the cases are transferred. But as we see earlier, they didnt interview Tcarrol. So I think that yes, cases are transferred but not necessarily we are all going to be interviewed.
