Immunizations

I retrieved my immunization records, and it looks like I have received all of my vaccines except for three. Will they give me these immunizations at the medical exam, or do I need to get them done at my doctor's office prior to the exam?

Thank you!

I personally went and got my immunizations done so that there are no worries at the medical. I even went as far as getting tested for TB just so that I know for myself that I don't have it and that is not going to be a worry.

The doctor told me the immunizations can take time to be entered into the system to show up on your record (can take a month at times)

I also think its cheaper to get them done at home.

Regarding chicken pox / varicella -  I had chicken pox so I don't have the vaccination but still have to prove via blood test that I had it. That is something that is good to do before hand as well.

Which ones does it say you're missing?  You only need chicken pox (verbal declaration), Tdap, and MMR.

It's not flu season so that isn't needed currently.

Thank you for your reply. The instructions for my consulate (Montreal, Canada) say the following:

"U.S. immigration law requires immigrant and K visa applicants to obtain certain vaccinations prior to the issuance of an immigrant visa. Panel physicians are required to verify that immigrant visa applicants have met the vaccination requirement or that it is medically inappropriate for the visa applicant to receive each of the following vaccinations:

Diphtheria toxoids

Haemophilus Influenza Type B (Hib)

Hepatitis A

Hepatitis B

Influenza

Measles

Meningococcal

Mumps

Pertussis

Pneumococcal

Polio

Rotavirus

Rubella

Tetanus

Varicella"

I am missing immunizations for Pneumococcal, Rotavirus and Varicella.

Pneumococcal vaccine is people aged 65 or older and rotavirus vaccine is for kids, so you don't need either of those, unless you're over 65?

Varicella is chickenpox so if you haven't had chicken pox, you need to get vaccinated.

As mentioned unless you're under 18 or over 65 the rest are not age appropriate.  I brought proof if my immunity to hep A and B, and both were marked as not age appropriate on the medical.  Varicella/chicken pox is all you need if you've never had it.
