Hey Guys/Gals,

Can someone please help me put together an up-to-date list of docs needed to get married in Morocco?

I have found a couple of lists on this forum, but they appear to be a bit out-dated (i.e. 2009, 2011, etc...). My case is slightly different, as I'm US citizen male, originally from Morocco, marrying a Moroccan woman. So when it comes to criminal records for example, I've read that one must obtain it from the FBI or Police Dept. before going to Morocco. So my questions is given that I'm Moroccan/American, I'm thinking I may also need to obtain one (Hossn Seera) from Morocco as well! Is that a correct assumption? Also on one of the lists I've found, someone mentioned to bring birth certificates "BCs" for their children! I t have a couple of kids myself, from my previous marriage, but for the life of me, I can't understand why would I need their BCs to get married in Morocco!!! A divorce decree makes sense, but BCs for my Kids...Hum...I'm lost!!!

If someone with similar circumstances could please comment, that would be GREAT!

Thank you in advance!

if you heard you need birth certificates for your kids, take them. Better to have them and not need them than to not have them

Thanks m8! I appreciate your help! Yeah I could take them, I just don't understand the rationale behind it (for my own edification), so I was hoping someone with an exact or similar situation (i.e. Moroccan/American Marrying a Moroccan) could help me specifically address the police record and BC questions. As you know those sites don't get updated as often as they need to be :) Cheers!

P.S. I like the Arabic Link ;)

You will  need a police report from every country that you have lived.  I am a USC and i also needed one from Morocco since I had visited there before.  I don't think I needed my kids bc to get married, but I know I did need to send copies with my I 130 so I would take them along just in case. Also remember you will need to have everything translated into Arabic as well.  If you go to the US Moroccan Embassy website there should be a list of everything you need to get married in Morocco.  Good Luck
