change in address for beneficiary

Hai all,

Should we need to tell USCIS, if there is a change in address for beneficiary? or will it be enough to tell NVC, once case gets transferred to NVC after approval from USCIS? After approval, Is beneficiary supposed to get any packages from USCIS? Thank you

You can charge at USCIS or NVC when it's transfered to the NVC call them and they will change for you

Thank you. Will USCIS sent any documents to beneficiary after approval?

No they won't they will only send you the NOA2

But the embassy might need the updated address to send your beneficiary a packet if they do the physical packet instead of via e-mail. Pretty much embassy specific.

So if i give the updated address to NVC, will that be fine (i assume NVC contacts embassy)? I am trying not to request for change of address at USCIS, since I am still waiting for approval and planning to make a case inquiry. I heard they won't allow to submit inquiry, if they have done something related to case in past 60 days.

If you are still at the USCIS stage pending approval, by all means submit an e-Request for the change of address.

 

In the event that you cannot already get it changed then wait till the file gets to NVC or the embassy. Either way, contact details must be up to date or none of the agencies will be able to contact you or your beneficiary in a timely manner.

 

Sorry re: the packet thing. That's for the K-1 process

An address change can be done when you complete the DS-260 at a later point in the process.
