I'm getting confused here. I read topics about people applying at least 6months ago, complaining about how lengthy the n-400 process is and how they are stuck in "in line for the interview" status. Then, when I check the March 2017 filers' topic, I see those people starting to get their interview letters already. So, what is really going on as far as processing times?

Well as I see from people who applied in December and even last summer the wait stars after the fingerprint notice.

I see many people waiting for an interview date for over 6 months

I hope we have better luck!

Also, make sure that you check USCIS website on where to send your N-400 applications depending on the state you live in. It seems that they have moved stuff around very recently. 

 

For example, California applicants used to send their applications to the Phoenix, AZ lockbox. If you check on USCIS website now, it states that California applicants should send their N-400 applications to Dallas, TX lockbox. When did this change happen? The page says that it was last updated yesterday, June 12th, 2017.

I just saw a few people on here that are from New York but sent their applications to Dallas, TX but now it says to send to Phoenix, AZ. 

 

 Can anyone shed a light on this?

HOWEVER, It looks like USCIS updated filing location address yesterday, 06/12/2017. 

I remember that I am supposed to send to DALLAS, but today when I was checking before I sent I had to send to PHOENIX. 

 

Hope that somebody didn't make a mistake.

I think it really depends on what field office you're using.  Some have a big backlog.
