RFE

Hello,

My husband and I just filed in Frankfurt Apr 3rd. On May 27 we received an RFE in the mail for proof of a bona fide marriage. We've sent pics of the wedding, hotel/plane reciepts, joint account statement, military sponsor ID and DEERS enrollment, and a statement to explain when and how we met for the additional documents. I have a few questions if anyone had been through this already.

1. Is this enough documentation to get an approval?

2. How long after the RFE is sent back does it take to get approval?

3. I forgot to send the g-1145 form for email notification and sent it this time when mailing the evidence will it be accepted so they can email me? Any answers would be very helpful as my husband is very stressed and worried after receiving the RFE. Thanks!

I'm not familiar with Germany and what they require but how is the military ID and docs proof of a relationship? Was there a particular reason you included that?

 

Passport stamps of proof of travel together seem to carry more weight than hotel/plane tickets in my experience.

Im sorry I meant his military spouse ID that says he's my dependent..they asked for that as an example of what they wanted. They also asked for hotel/plane receipts

Oh ok, well that makes sense then. It seems to me that if you sent them everything that they asked for (and it seems they gave you a rather detailed list) that you should be fine.

Marriage certificate, pictures taken together over a period of time and in different circumstances (at home, on holiday or whereever...just to give a feel of the relationship, various IDs with spouses name on it, proof of intermingling of various financial assets in each others names for example joint accounts, children IDs with parents names, marriage pics, pictures with each others parents/relatives

 

Above noted would be useful where proof of relationship is to be demonstrated.
