How could they not think this would go South

I mean, in one hand I admire them for trying to do this.. was it established that this was a joke and accepted by the students? 

 

I wouldn't make people go along with a joke if they didn't understand thats what it was and consent to it.

 

But I also understand like naitch how this can go south. Sometimes I guess I have too much hope something other than hysteria and spoilsporting political correctness can prevail.

I always thought these awards were quite stupid, and in full disclosure, I was not voted "most likely to be a future Trump supporter".
