hello everyone!

my mom filed for petition for my younger brother, she's LPR.

PD: June 3,2016

approved date: sept, 23,2016

DOB: July 26,1996

according to myprioritydate dot com, estimated priority date may become current on MArch 2018.

what would be possible expectation for my brother's case?

what is the chance or how to avoid converting into F2B?

what if his PD become current with in 1yr after he's 21y.o? can CSPA help?

thanks for the input!

It looks like he will age out. The time between his PD and approval date is very short.

There is nothing anybody can do to prevent him from aging out. If he drops to F2B then he will have to just wait it out.

According to the dates you provided CSPA would only covers 3 months after his 21st birthday. If it his PD becomes current 1 year after that then CSPA will have been long pass.

Hopefully someone else can confirm this.

The way CPSA works is when the date becomes current you get to take the exact number of days off your exact age.  If that makes you less than 21 you get to process like you are under 21.  Even one day over and you are aged out.   From what you wrote your brother has no hope.  There is no way to make a priority date come faster.   You can only expedite the movement of the file not the mandatory wait times.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.
