LOS ANGELES -- Danny Bonaduce, the radio and TV host whose marriage troubles were aired in a TV reality show, says his wife of more than 16 years, Gretchen, is seeking a divorce.

"Apparently she went and signed papers yesterday around noon," Bonaduce said Tuesday on KLSX-FM's "The Adam Carolla Show."

"I really don't want a divorce. I love her," he said.

Bonaduce, 47, said he received an e-mail Tuesday from her attorney offering phone numbers for lawyers.

Gretchen Bonaduce couldn't immediately be reached for comment. Her telephone number was unlisted.

Bonaduce said his wife had been talking about breaking up for several months and he held out little hope for a reconciliation.

"There's no fight. Nobody's mad at anybody at my house," he said.

"It's been months of `You know, I think we'd be happier apart. I'm not happy, Danny.' But thing is, she has been friendly, and helpful," Bonaduce said.

It is Bonaduce's second marriage. The couple have two children.

The former child star of TV's "The Partridge Family" starred with his wife in "Breaking Bonaduce," which detailed his efforts to repair his relationship and recover from alcohol and other problems. The show aired on Viacom International Inc.'s VH1 channel.

Little Danny has come a long way since The Partridge Family days. Can't say if it was for the better.

"Credibility in immigration policy can be summed up in one sentence: Those who should get in, get in; those who should be kept out, are kept out; and those who should not be here will be required to leave."

"...for the system to be credible, people actually have to be deported at the end of the process."

Did you happen to watch, Breaking Bonaduce? It was painful - he's really hi-strung and intense.

Yeah, and from watching it, I'm frankly surprised that Gretchen held on this long.

Me too. I always thought she looked like she was looking for a way out. From what I recall, they met and got married in one night - a gambled marriage from the start.

Met at a radio station and married that night. Gretchen's brother is a co-worker and friend of mine.

It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

Do you know if any of the reality show was 'dramatized' or was that really how Danny behaves?

Danny Bonaduce is completely crazy! He's overly dramatic and seems way too needy. Between his drug addictions and his mental problems...I would have ran a long time ago. I wish both of them the best of luck and I hope Danny moves on this time and just lets Gretchen have a life.

He says he's really like that. Lots of self worth issues and an addictive personality.

I'm going to play the Danny Bonaduce advocate here. He's one of those people, either you love or you hate him. The man is who he is. Personally, I think the guy's a really good father. His wife on the other hand, I see something different. She's trying to have a singing career and she used the "Breaking Bonaduce" show to try and launch it. It's not going to work out to be much of anything. She doesn't have much talent at all when it comes to singing. It was obvious when she stood next to Terri Nunn of Berlin and tried to sing.
