Hello,

So we just recieved an RFE for our I-485 petition. It says "The joint sponsor on Form i-864, Affidavit of Support, must submit a complete federal icome tax return submitted to the Internal Revenue Service for the most recent tax year."

My dad is my joint sponsor and I sent in his most recent 3 years of W-2's, employment letter, paystubs, everything that they said. I am just confused on what to do and I am just not sure what we need to send in to resolve this RFE. I was researching a little on visa journey and it said that we should send in tax transcripts? If anyone could help us with this that would be greatly appreciated!! :)

Your sent list does not include the tax return docs like f1040 and such, so you didn't send all that was needed.

Anyway, the best is to obtain tax return trancript from IRS.

You can dowload it online from IRS.

Google "tax return transcript from irs" and you will get to the related irs web to get the transcript.

Okay thank you arken and Ben&Zian. This has helped a lot! I wasn't sure if I needed to send in the 1099 or 1040 so that is probably why we got the RFE. But I will just send in the tax transcript then.
