i was doing my thing this morning, working out in front of the tv as all good americans do, when donny deutsch said the best most hilarious thing about the rose garden photo op yesterday.

"While discussing a photo of President Donald Trump and a collection of Republican House members Friday, MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” panel ripped Trump and the GOP over Thursday’s narrow vote to replace Obamacare, calling Trump and his cronies “fat, middle-aged white guys.”

The picture in question was a photo-op for the president and select members of the House GOP, which was a celebratory set up in the White House Rose Garden after the House passed the American Health Care Act, which is the Trump-backed plan to “repeal and replace” Obamacare. Trump had postponed his first return to New York City since being elected in order to hold the event at the White House.

“They all voted for Trump,” Donny Deutsch said about the photo being displayed on screen. “There’s no moral compass, there’s no political compass, there’s disabled children who will be losing their benefits in school, and what are we looking at? A bunch of fat, middle-aged white guys.”

Mika Brzezinski chimed in that the men — and one single woman — standing behind Trump in the photo resembled a “golf course ribbon cutting” more than anything else and described the assembled lawmakers were a “sea of political stupidity.” Brzezinski said the one woman in the photo didn’t “look too happy.”"

It is interesting that they didn't do the same thing when the ACA was passed without anyone even reading the bill to my recollection.

Being married to a CABA myself, I know that "working out" is code for laying on the couch wearing UGG's and Juicy sweats, eating yourself into a Cheetos coma.

good for them. i guess.

seriously, why aren't conservatives pissed about the sheer ineptitude of all this. if your reasoning in high-fiving stupidity is that no one read obamacare, shouldn't you still be pissed that no one read trumpcare?

Personally, I think all the High Fiving is a joke.  What the House passed yesterday will most likely not see the light of day in the Senate, then we will have all the Conference Committee dealings.

What surprises me is that the MDL is not getting behind President Trump.  All signs point to him being in favor of a single payer system, and if that does come to fruition, he can claim he kept his campaign promise of repealing the ACA and replacing it albeit with a single payer system.  It would also insure President Obama's legacy as he can claim he paved the way for a single payer by signing the ACA into law.

? if trump were about single payer, he wouldn't support the paul ryan trash heap. i know that he has said he likes single payer many many times, but he's also said he's not pushing for single payer many many times. that's the problem with trump, he stands for nothing and has no actual compass except for following whatever hunch he has that might caress his rotten ego.

of course the high fiving is a joke. every single one of the folks backing trump in his little 'victory' photo op and congratulatory 'oval office' tour are a joke as well. a foul joke that should never be repeated.

All signs point?  Seriously..the guy talk out of his backside.  Yesterday He was celebrating the fact that millions of Americans will (choose to ) not have health care when Trumpcare rolls out.  The only thing universal about that is that it universally sucks to lose your health insurance.

Unfortunately unlike what many here (CEHST) think regarding President Trump, he is not a dictator.  He cannot simply make law by himself, he has 535 members of the House and Senate he has to deal with.  One of the things I do like about him is that he actually talks to Congress unlike President Obama.  Time will tell regarding the make-up of the final bill if any.

Was that anything like the millions that lost their insurance (that many of them liked and could afford) when the ACA took effect?  Now the ACA is the greatest thing since sliced bread.  I am so glad all those Democrats read the bill before they voted for it.

who thinks trump is a dictator, i mean, he wishes - that's about it.

and he doesn't 'talk' to congress, he coddles them when it serves him well. 'ryan worked real hard on this' bs dude, no way trump thinks that any of them 'worked hard' on anything. if he does - it's only because trump doesn't know what actual work is.

seems to me that for most republicans/conservatives healthcare in america is all about bashing aca and dismantling any and everything obama did. aca compared to what congress just 'worked' out is the greatest thing since sliced bread.
