If i went a organization for one day and they just told me wat i needed to gather for them to complete the i130. But never went back and i assembled the complete package myself i shouldnt have to list them under preparer correct if all i got was info right?

Im saying on the last two pages do i gotta list the agency i went to who gave me info on how to complete the packet as my preparer even though they didnt put all the documents together ( i did it on my own) and just gave info on things i already knew they was just a  non profit immigration organization

Hi there, I would not list the agency as the "preparer", because they did not physically fill out the forms for you, you did. You are the one who gathered the information and checked that, to the best of your knowledge, it was correct. You shouldn't list someone else as having performed that process. If something is wrong in the forms, it is because you made a mistake, not because of anything they did! :)

04/24/2017: I-765 / I-131 - Approved! (104 Days)

04/28/2017: I-765 / I-131 Combo Card Mailed

05/04/2017: I-485 Interview Scheduled

06/06/2017: I-485 Interview in Boston, MA - Approved! (146 Days)

06/08/2017: 2-Year Green Card Mailed

03/06/2019: First day eligible to apply for ROC

05/15/2019: I-751 Filed

05/16/2019: I-751 Received

05/20/2019: NOA1 with 18-month extension - Assigned to the Vermont Service Center ("EAC")

06/25/2019: Biometrics Appointment in Cranston, RI

04/02/2020: Notice of Action - Approved! (323 Days)

04/06/2020: 10-Year Green Card Mailed

September 10, 2009: Arrived for first meeting in-person!
June 17, 2010: Arrived for second in-person meeting and start of travel together to other areas of China!

September 1, 2010: Switched course from K1 to CR-1
December 8, 2010: Wedding date set; it will be on February 18, 2011!
February 9, 2011: Depart for China
February 11, 2011: Registered for marriage in Wuhan, officially married!!!
February 18, 2011: Wedding ceremony in Shiyan!!!
April 22, 2011: Mailed I-130 to Chicago
April 28, 2011: Received NOA1 via text/email, file routed to CSC (priority date April 25th)
April 29, 2011: Updated
May 3, 2011: Received NOA1 hardcopy in mail
July 26, 2011: Received NOA2 via text/email!!!
July 30, 2011: Received NOA2 hardcopy in mail
August 8, 2011: NVC received file
September 1, 2011: NVC case number assigned
September 2, 2011: AOS invoice received, OPTIN email for EP sent

January 28, 2014: Production of new Green Card ordered

February 3, 2014: New Green Card received; done with USCIS until fall of 2023*

December 18, 2023:  Filed I-90 to renew Green Card

December 21, 2023:  Production of new Green Card ordered - will be seeing USCIS again every 10 years for renewal

No, you don't list them.  Preparer information is for the legal representative who is filing on your behalf .  If you hired a lawyer, paralegal, or other document preparer to fill out this form for you, that person must fill out this section and sign. Otherwise, N/A.

  • 08-17-2017:  Visa status changed to Administrative Processing, then several hours later to "Issued"
  • 08-22-2017:  Passport with Visa delivered (paid for home delivery); paid immigration fee and added case to MyUSCIS for alerts
  • 11-18-2017:  Point of Entry at JFK in NYC!!!
