Nvc doesn't approve petitions. It only does administrative work with it, like put it on the system, creates a case number, etc.

 

it can take up to 5 weeks from going there to being ready at the embassy, if I'm not mistaken. The case is initially sent in digital format to the embassy but I believe it only gets ready status once the hard copies reach the embassy

 

immigrating is a long trying journey, a week of wait is nothing. Work on your patience.

Our case took weeks to arrive at the Embassy. NVC said it had been mailed; Embassy said nothing had been received. It was maddening. But when the Embassy finally said they had it things happened very very quickly. Good luck!

  • 2020.03.09 -- N-400 filed and feed paid online

Thanks for thanks for the reply. NVC alleges it's is now sent digitally. Who knows if that means some is sent digitally and the remainder is sent as a hard copy. At least it's on its way.

It is good news to hear they are sending to BKK digitally now. For us just a few months ago it was via DHL or FEDEX. My secret theory is that cases are received by BKK but there's such a backlog so they don't get processed as quickly as we'd like. Have you tried emailing the Embassy to check on the status? They were always very responsive to my queries.
