I received a email today and instruction of the nvc. Will do the 1st step and paid today.

Congratulations! I haven't received any instruction to proceed from NVC. It's already two and half months since my petition was approved. I am really worried, especially at the moment when the proposal of eliminating parents' immigration will be discussed.

I understand you but you already paid and they already accept your petition, for me if you would ask me I won’t worry about it. Maybe try to give them a call and see what’s up.

My mother-in-law picked up her immigrant visa today! However, it's a little weird. At the Consulate, they gave her the everything unsealed. They told her in her case she doesn't need a sealed packet. They included a letter to the immigration officer that states "No Package". They removed the Tourist visa from her passport and replaced it with an Immigrant visa. Has anyone heard of the Consulate/Embassy giving an unsealed package? They told her it's ok in her case even though she argued with them for a bit stating she wanted it sealed.

Here for my mother-in-law, here's what we've done so far for her IR-5:

04.06.17 - NOA1
09.14.17 - NOA2
09.21.17 - Case Sent to NVC/DoS
10.19.17 - Notice of Immigrant Visa Case Creation
10.23.17 - Fees Paid Online
10.25.17 - Fees Posted
10.26.17 - IV Application Submitted
10.26.17 - AOS Submitted
10.27.17 - Civil Documents Submitted
11.09.17 - Documents Accepted, Case Closed @ NVC
12.13.17 - Interview Notice

01.03.18 - Medical Exam Scheduled01.11.18 - Interview
01.31.18 - IV Picked Up

Don't worry about the case status online.  They don't update it always.  Congratulations!

My case finally completed at NVC after 12.5 weeks! I really think it fell through the cracks somehow as they say the review period is 11 weeks (and I see most get reviewed by 6-8 weeks) but I kept being told 11 weeks and there was nothing they could do etc. I contacted my senator and congressman at 11 weeks and they followed up and it was sent to supervisor review and completed last week. Thank goodness! My mum is now in line for an interview in London. The NVC process is crazy but I'm glad we are done with it now. Good luck to everyone waiting and make sure you advocate for yourselves with the NVC by calling them and whoever else is necessary!

Congratulations!  Could you  please let us know when your mom gets an interview. I mean in how many days will be her interview.  We are in London too and I want an idea how long it takes to  get an interview. We are parents of usc here in London. Thanks
