How to Expedite EAD

Hey VJers,

 

I am wanting to request an expedite of my EAD but am wondering what I need to do that? I have a job offer, I was wondering what information the employer needs to provide? Do they just write a letter that they are offering me employment, does it need to specify full/part time, pay rate, etc?

 

I understand I will call the USCIS number and ask to expedite, they will send me information in the mail and I will fax them evidence. Is it only a letter from the employer regarding a job offer that I need to send?

 

Should my expedite request be denied, will it slow the processing of my EAD? I am expecting to receive it at the end of May/beginning of June. My husband and I are looking at moving at the end of June, our lease is up at our current place and we have to prove we make 3x the rent whether we stay or move to a new place. My father in law previously cosigned our lease and offered us financial support when we needed it prior to me coming here but since I moved and we got married he has decided he doesn't want to help us anymore. I could really use that EAD!

 

Any advice on expediting or experiences of your own would be appreciated! Thank you in advance!

As far as I have heard all you need when requesting the expedite is a job offer. So basically the company could give you something offering you a position with all relevantr information available on it. 

 

If the expedite is denied, it shouldn't slow down the process, it would just ocnitnue on at normal speed.
