Do I need a co-sponsor for I-134 if my fiancee (USC) has a job that hasn't started yet?

The USC is starting her residency in Pediatrics, and will make well over the poverty line etc etc..

The job is 100% guaranteed and can be attested with a letter or whatever is needed.

(The job will "practically" begin June 15th and we will be filing May 25th)

 

Will I still need a co-sponsor for I-134 since she did not receive her first paycheck yet, and the job itself didn't "practically" start yet?

By the time the interview phase begins, the USC should be able to show steady income. That being said, she should at that point supply all pay stubs for her new job, letter from employer stating income, she also needs ot make sure she is up to date with her tax returns(even if not required to have filed do to low income). 

 

Depending on the embassy, it may be in her best interest to have a co-sponsor lined up and ready in case, even if she won't need it. Just saves time and he head ache later.

From the sound of your post, you haven't filed the i129f petition yet? You do not need to include the i134 in the initial filing, it is first required at the interview phase. At which point the USC should have letter of (current) employment as well as paystubs. A co-sponsor should thus not be necessary.

I129f? Isn't that for obtaining the K1 visa? I already have that. I am asking about the adjustment of status procedure..

Aha, I couldn't tell, since you were asking about i134 and had no timeline.

 

For AOS, the form for affidavit of support is i864. If you plan file prior to the USC starting their job, you might get an RFE for joint sponsorship. The i864 requirements are stricter and they do ask for paystubs showing ongoing/continued income.

I second what A'n'L told you. For i-864 the sponsor needs to already be working.
