Did former Obama aide Evelyn Farkas just admit that Trump’s staff was spied on?

Hmm, interesting.  I thought all the talk of the Obama Administration spying on the Trump campaign/transition team was hogwash.  I wonder who she meant by using the pronoun "we" in her statement.  I know this won't change anyone's mind as all the MDL will circle the wagon, but like I said first, this is interesting.

 

Bombshell?

Evelyn Farkas, who left her position as deputy assistant secretary of defense for Russia, Ukraine, and Eurasia in the Obama White House in 2015, was on “Morning Joe” earlier this week where she talked about her personal knowledge of Obama national security officials rushing to preserve as much intelligence as they could before Trump took office and directed that information to Congress:

 

But it also sounds like Farkas admitted that the Obama administration was spying on then candidate Trump during the election. From Fox News (emphasis ours)

“I was urging my former colleagues, and frankly speaking the people on the Hill, it was more actually aimed at telling the Hill people, get as much information as you can, get as much intelligence as you can, before President Obama leaves the administration,” Farkas, who is now a senior fellow at the Atlantic Council, said.

“Because I had a fear that somehow that information would disappear with the senior [Obama] people who left, so it would be hidden away in the bureaucracy … that the Trump folks – if they found out how we knew what we knew about their … the Trump staff dealing with Russians – that they would try to compromise those sources and methods, meaning we no longer have access to that intelligence.”

Wow.

Turns out Comey wanted to take the Story to the NY Times but Obamas team was wary.  NYT is fake news anyways.

This is a dupe?  Are you suggesting Ms. Farkas's words were put in her mouth?  The point is she was a private citizen as of 2015 well before Trump's rise in the GOP primary, so how is she getting access to top secret information, and what does she mean by "how we knew what we knew..."?

I don't have any doubts Obama would spy on Trump but I think there needs to be more rigid proof before people jump the gun. And even if there were would there be anything done about it? The intelligence community in general tends to protect each other regardless of party squabbles.

They should investigate this thoroughly. If the previous administration did spy on Trump, there may be some gold to be mined in terms of the connections with foreign sponsors. It's a win-win for the American people.

After no one except Scooter Libby from the Bush administration, and literally no one from the Obama administration, are in jail, for things like the Iraq War, spying on Americans, breaking the law countless times with overreaching programs, the IRS scandals, Fast and Furious scandal, Benghazi scandal, Hillary scandals,.. I have no faith that executive overreaches would see their day in a criminal court or congressional impeachment hearing. Absolutely none. They can get away with murder.
