We applied for a K1 Visa and last March 4 we received our NOA1. I am just worried if they will also issue K2 visa for my Minor Son. Is anyone has the same expereince? By the way my faincee include the name of my minor son in 1-129F. Please is anyone here a Filipino citizen with the same experience? If my K1 is approved will it also inure to the benefit of my son?

Kindly enlighthen me on this matter. Thank You.!

Once your i129f is approved, you will receive two case numbers to pursue visas. One for yourself and one for your son (minor child mentioned on i129f). If you wish to obtain a k2 for your son (?), you need to fill out a separate visa application for him (ds160) and take him to a medical (like you). He will also have to attend the visa interview at the embassy.

If it isn't difficult, it isn't worth it.

K1 process

9/24/15: I129f sent

9/23/16: Received biometrics appointment letter (day 11)

10/3/16: Biometrics appointment (day 19)

11/4/16: EAD+AP approved (day 53)

11/16/16: EAD status changed to card shipped (day 65)

This except the case number.

once approved and you are ready for your medical your book a medical for him also you will have to pay a fee for him for medical. And then do one DS-160 for you and one DS-160 for him. That way the embassy knows he will be applying for a k-2.

you also pay 2 fees for the interview and bring him to the interview as well.

good luck.

Thank you so much your reply. This will help me a lot to understand the process. By the way, my another query is that I am a single mother (Never been married to anyone) however the father of my son acknowledge him and in his birth certificate  so he is using his father Surname not mine my surname being his middle name. You think this will be A PROBLEM? Under the Philippine law when a child is born out of wedlock as long as the father acknowledge the child which appears in the birth certificate a child can use the surname of the father. I am worried about this because we have different Surname. Please provide me an information regarding this matter. Thank u again in advance.

I don't know the PI rules but some places sole custody if enough and other places the want a written consent from the bio-parent that they allow for the child to immigrate to the US.

What is the stage of the prcess of K1 application to file a copy of the income tar return?

 Thank you andGod Blessed!!

Tax return and other financial documents are for the beneficiary to take with them to the interview.

If you just just received the NOA1 then you have some wait before NOA2 comes.
