My cousins family had their interview the same month as my wife which was on sept 2017. During the ban their status went from AP to refused. Last week it changed to AP again but they weren't sent an email to redo their medical. What do you guys think he should do?

They aren’t gonna be sent an email to redo their medical, the embassy calls them for that.

Did they get a waiver consideration email?

I don’t think there’s much they can do. They aren’t letting anyone get a medical unless your name is on the list that the embassy provides.

They haven't received any email yet. Plus I have a different family who was sent an email and called to redo their medical.

These are people that interviewd before december 8.

So is it that those who interviewed after december 8 will not be getting visas till the ban is lifted? Or is it that they will eventually get it too once ap is complete.

Also did these people have the approval slip or were they in ap?

My senators office told me that only those that interviewd before dec 8 will get the waiver.

Does that mean all these people who are interviewing right now all the ones who got the email about rejection reconsideration prior to may 1 are all going to be eventually denied after being put in ap?

Ok, Im sorry but your senator is incorrect. I have spoken to 2 lawyers just today, one said they had a visa printed from a Jan 2018 interview for a Syrian national - F2A, and another said the same thing for a Dec 2017 interview for an Iranian national.

There are numerous B1/B2s printed as well with 2018 interviews.
