Fprints:  Date assigned for fingerprinting (Bio-metrics). If you do your biometrics via walk-in prior to your scheduled appointment, please enter the date in blue.
In Line: Date you received e-notification about the start of your interview scheduling.
Int Ltr: Date you received the official letter in the mail regarding interview.
Interview: Date of your interview.
Oath: Date Oath taken.

Field Office: Your local USCIS office where you will have the N-400 interview.

My status hasn't changed from fingerprint appointment scheduled, so you are one step ahead of me! Don't worry, there always will be someone faster and slower than you...

That could mean your background check hasn't cleared yet or it might mean absolutely nothing. I read that it is common for USCIS officers to forget the step that involves sending a customer notification. I also see that some people get their "in line" notification two or three days after FP appointment. I find it difficult to believe they have been cleared the background check in two days.

Hey guys. Sorry if I'm splitting hairs here.. but my wait for my oath appointment has me trying to decipher the notice in my case status update.

 

As some of you know I had my interview and passed on May 16th.  I received a bundle of 6 emails from USCIS on the 22nd stating... " We placed you in line for your oath ceremony and will send you a notice for Receipt Number NBC*xxxxxxxx, with the date, time, and location of your oath ceremony. You should receive your notice within 30 days of its mailing date."

 

This part has me scratching my head " You should receive your notice within 30 days of its mailing date ".  

 

Does this mean I have to expect a letter in the post with my official approval ? before I should expect my oath ceremony appointment ?

 

I normally never get any physical mail from USCIS just emails. As it is approaching 30 days since my interview. should I be worried ?

This basically means they haven't figured out when your Oath ceremony is yet.  Some locations take upto a few months to place people into oath ceremonies, especially if they are large metropolitan areas with a lot of turnover.  You should not be worried.  If you are concerned, at 30 days you can call USCIS and ask for an update.
