Hi All,

Finally the wait is over. I got my naturalization interview date and right now I am preparing the documents for the interview. Please review the interview checklist that I prepared and let me know if I need to include or exclude something from the list.

Naturalization Interview Document Checklist

1.     Interview Appointment Letter.  YES

2.     Permanent Resident Card. YES

3.     State Issued Id: Driver’s License Id. YES

4.    Passport (Passport’s first n last page photocopy extra). YES ---BRING ANY EXPIRED PASSPORTS TOO

5.     Marriage Certificate. YES

6.     Citizen Spouse Birth Certificate. YES

7.     Selective Service Registration - Status Information Letter. YES

8.     Evidence that me and my spouse lived in marital union for the 3 years. LOOKS GOOD. WE WILL PRINT OUT SAMPLE BANK STATEMENTS AND INVESTMENT STATEMENTS TO BRING THE PACKET UP TO DATE

      ·      Join Bank Statement of recent 3 months.

      ·      Letter from the bank stating that we both have joint account

      ·      Join Credit Card Statement for recent 3 months.

      ·      Apartment recent 3-Year lease document.

      ·      Health and Dental Insurance Policy card (no docs). PROBABLY NOT NECESSARY, BUT CAN'T HURT

      ·      Tax return and IRS transcript for the last 3 years. (Do I need to carry both tax return and IRS transcript or just IRS transcript is enough?) TRANSCRIPTS ARE FINE...REMEMBER THAT THEY ALREADY HAVE THIS, BUT WE ARE BRINGING IT ANYWAY.

      ·      W2 form for the year 2016 of applicant and citizen spouse from our current job. NOT A BAD IDEA, BUT I DON'T THINK IT PROVES ANYTHING ABOUT FILING TAXES FOR THIS YEAR TOGETHER.

      ·      Last 3-month Apartment bill with both of our names on it as address proof.

      ·      Last 3-month Utility bill with both of our names on it as address proof.

      ·      Title and Registration of our Car showing joint ownership.

9.     Applicant Social Security Card. YES

10.  2 Passport Size Photos. I BELIEVE THAT THEY WILL NOW USE THE PHOTOS THAT THEY TOOK AT THE BIOMETRICS APPOINTMENT

11.  Employment Verification Letter. NOT SURE YOU NEED THIS

12.  Applicant’s last 6 pay stubs. NOT SURE YOU NEED THIS

13.  Applicants Birth Certificate. THEY ALREADY HAVE THIS.

Eagerly waiting for your comments.

Thanks in advance.

Joan had her interview today (passed!) and the interviewer did not ask for any new paperwork. I would still bring what you have just in case. Good luck!
