Administrative Processing

Hello, everyone! I have a question I'm sure gets asked a lot here.

My fiancé had his interview on 2/6. Everything went well except his police report. There was a conviction from when he was a teenager for spitting in his jail cell. Typical Irish drunk guy. Jk. Kinda.

They forwarded our our case to get the final word from immigration lawyers. The interviewer said it could take up to a month or more for an answer.

Our status online went from "no status" to "administrative processing" to "issued (if you haven't received your visa in 10 days contact us)" all in the matter of 3 days.

So my question is this...

Do we actually have it??? Since it says it's issued?!?!? Or is that something that changes back and forth?!

OH COOL! How long did it take for them to send you an official "it's ready" e-mail?

Well, that is hard to say because I processed my visa in Germany (Frankfurt consulate) and my case was not exactly the same to yours but this is what happened to me:

- Interview: June 13 (administrative review)
- Sent the missing police record on June, 28 and it was received on July, 1.
- On July, 7 I got this message by email: "Your document(s) have been collected from the US Embassy/Consulate" and got my passport 6 days after that.

Hope it helps.

I know how it feels, I was actually not in Germany anymore at the time the passport was issued and as they can not send it out of the German borders I had to tell them to send it to a friend in Frankfurt...then he re-sent it to me, the waiting time was horrible lol
