Hello everyone. My PD is oct 2010, approved and sent to NVC 2013, for an f2b case.

as of today, according to the visa bulletin, final action date for March 2020 is 0ct 01, 2009.

Since I received the notice of approval back on 2013, I haven’t done anything with regards to the steps of the processing. Aside from checking the visa bulletin every month.

hopefully, within a year or two, I will receive another notice fr NVC for the next step.

But I’m just wondering, to those who have completed the process, is there any step I missed? I keep reading about an invoice number and affidavit of support and stuff. But is it correct that there’s nothing else I can or need to do until I get a notice from NVC?

thank you

Hi. Yes I think so. Once approved by the USCIS, they will forward your case to NVC and they will create a case number. As far as I know, you will just have to wait for your welcome letter, it could be in the coming months. Check Chart B of the Visa Bulletin. I also have read some comments that I need to submit some documents but I don’t think that’s how it goes. 25EA1972-F634-4EB8-B3C5-4685B1DBB658.thumb.jpeg.ca059f6335a57e670ffe5d492eee314a.jpegDFA2BC0C-F053-42C2-A1D8-73FCD74841E4.thumb.jpeg.08c1df0a6cf1640640b5fba2040798f3.jpeg

Hello! Does President Trump’s immigration ban also affects the interview and the process? I dont understand the immigration ban. If the embassy’s open, will they still schedule interview for those who are included in the ban? Does the ban mean that interviews will still be conducted BUT the immigrant can only enter the US after the president lifts up the ban on december 31,2020?  For example, if the us embassy opens up in our country, can we still get an appointment even if we are included in the ban? (F2b visa), but is not allowed to enter US until dec 31? Please explain thank you

No.  Visa can't be issued.   No interview will occur as a result, until the ban is lifted

YMMV

Hello - my GC holder parents petitioned for my brother (who currently resides in the US as a visa holder) - his petition approval came in October 2013. According to Visa bulletin they're currently at January 2013 -- once the date is closer to the petition approval date, what will happen? He receives a letter to start the Petition for Alien relative I-130? Thank you for any information.

Hi @payxibka, unsure of specific visa - I just know he's currently sponsored by an embassy. So at this point, we just wait for NVC to give him a notification before procreeding with anything?

Thanks for your help. Much appreciated.
