Hi, I created this topic for Filipinos that are still waiting for their priority date. Even those that have their's completed, please join and let us know how the journey was.

My PD is Dec 2010.

As I've checked my status from NVC right now, status is still the same. See photo attached please.

My case number though starts with MLA2014. Is that normal? Knowing my PD is 2010 though. Does it mean anything?

Also, originally my category is f2B, or at least until now because I have no idea what category I have right now. My dad took his oath last Oct2016, will my category automatically change to F1 then? Which I am undecided if I want to, since it is slower in terms of processing as F2B are ahead for a few months.

my pd is 2008 and my case number is mnl2009 i guess its normal. I think  your visa category will change and if you want to  remain in f2b you need to write them a letter

Wow, that's quite a long wait! May I ask what was your case number? My PD is Dec2010, but my case number is MNL2014.

I can answer your question about dates. When your petition was filed and sent to USCIS, they gave you PD Dec2010, then after 4 years your petition was approved by USCIS and sent to NVC, where you received another letter from NVC with new assigned number MNL2014...this one case no. you'll use in CEAC system, when your case will be opened and where you'll be able to process your case. But your PD will always remain Dec2010.

It is normal wait time. You will be asked to submit documents sometime in 2021... Check https://travel.state.gov/content/visas/en/law-and-policy/bulletin.html for the latest priority dates that are on process. Don't get married so you won't be placed in the F3 category which has longer wait time.

For security purposes, I cannot provide you my case number. I'm now in the Unites States. Good luck to you.

Ah, Yes. I was just actually asking for the digits like MNL2014 is mine. Not the whole thing. :) But thank you :) From what it looks like, it seems the chart in Visa Bulletin has been jumping from 3-5months. If I am right, my PD shpuld be current within 2-3 years. Since they are now on Sept2006. Last month it was April2006. It jumped for a few months. I guess that's a good thing.

Thank you so much Lain for being so helpful! :) You always answer my questions accurately. Thought the PD was a mistake since my case number has 2014 in it. :P

Sir/Mam so in your case you received the letter for interview appointment(Letter that tells the date and time when the embassy is holding interviews ) one month prior to your priority date to be current?

My PD is July 6 2007 December bulletin is June 8, 2007 and im looking forward for the January bulletin that my PD become current.

Should i expect to receive a letter this December if my PD by January becomes current?

THANK YOU

Hello everyone. My PD is oct 2010, approved and sent to NVC 2013, for an f2b case.

as of today, according to the visa bulletin, final action date for March 2020 is 0ct 01, 2009.

Since I received the notice of approval back on 2013, I haven’t done anything with regards to the steps of the processing. Aside from checking the visa bulletin every month.

hopefully, within a year or two, I will receive another notice fr NVC for the next step.

But I’m just wondering, to those who have completed the process, is there any step I missed? I keep reading about an invoice number and affidavit of support and stuff. But is it correct that there’s nothing else I can or need to do until I get a notice from NVC?

thank you
