Ugh, how frustrating :( I'm sorry! I guess your best bet would be to try for the stamp, then. Fingers crossed for you!

I know. I'm thinking of calling the Fair Housing and ask about my situation.

I already scheduled info pass too. (My lender sent me letter I need additional documentation to be able to get the loan) Hope it will work out. The earliest schedule I got is Sept. 7th. I will keep you updated. Thanks for the help.

I'm applying for a business visa to China, I hope they don't cause a fuss because of the green card extension letter. They require proof of residence in the USA to apply from the USA.

Update update !!!

I went to immigration yesterday. They check my case and said Vermont is still working on cases blah blah blah. Took my passport and gave me a stamp. I wasn't even had a chance to explain why I need it. I emailed my lender and sent her a copy and voila it's accepted 😊

Hi guys! Hope everyone is doing well. I can't believe it's October already.

Anyway... I checked my case status on the uscis website out of curiosity and to see if they ever fixed the "fees waived" bug. Now my case says that "on February 9, 2017 we approved your form I-539..."

I've never submitted a l-539. Is this just another IT glitch or do I need to call USCIS and make sure they still have me in the system for ROC? B-)

That is very strange.  I have never had that bug with fees waived, perhaps you have it being an early Feb filer. All I see is when my petition was received, however I never look further into my case as I always get locked and Ive given up trying to sort out the lock out.  The form you are talking about is for a non immigrant visa which is even more bizarre.  Nothing surprises me with this process, not a singular thing. I don't know what to suggest as I don't know if I have one of these with being locked out, however I do suspect that its another computer glitch!

N-400 question for all. February I-751 filter here but with a little different history though.

Timeline:
Became Conditional Residence: 1/13/2015

USPS lost Green card (never received one) - Filed I90 replacement Finally got one after couple of months.

Conditional Residence date (printed on GC): 1/13/2015

GC Expiration (printed on card): 7/19/17 <-- This is very unusual as it should be same date as 2 years anniversary.
Filed I-751: February 2017
NOA/extension expiration: February 2018

3 year anniversary permanent residence date: 1/13/2018

--
Based on USCIS calculator found at https://www.uscis.gov/forms/uscis-early-filing-calculator, looks like I'm eligible to apply in couple of days time.

Question is: Should I apply or wait it till Feb to apply. Pros cons, whats better in your view. What would you do in my situation?

Thanks a lot in advance.

If I was you I would file for citizenship and if they deny it due to the failure to deliver the card then contest it. It is very unusual to have a card that has 2 and a half years on it.  I am not sure why you filed ROC in Feb as you could have filed for ROC earlier.  Also if they had gone of the date on the end of your GC your application for ROC would have been denied, so I see no reason at all why you cant file for the N400, if ROC was not rejected for early filing.

Hi bellylaugh, I am just lurking in this thread getting an idea of how many of you have heard anything at all from USCIS. Just letting you know that I too, was stuck with that "Fees Waived" glitch, and now my online status reads that they received my I-539 application blah blah....  I am thinking that it's another glitch. I don't even bother with this online notification system any more, as they can't even get that right. I am a January 2017 filer and, from what I can see, it may be June of 2018 before I see any signs from USCIS, so I am going to ask for my stamp early, for weather and employment reasons. Good luck on you application and (hopefully) pending approval! :)

ROC

01/18/2017   Sent in I-751

01/26/2017   Check cashed

01/28/2017   Received NOA dated 01/20/2017

02/16/2017   Biometrics done

10/24/2017   Traveled to Minneapolis for I551 stamp

02/26/2018     Case received by Field Office - S. Paul

05/012018     Case transferred to another USCIS office for processing

N-400

02/02/2018    Filed N-400 online

02/05/2018    NOA online - NOA letter 02/09/2018

02/21/2018     Biometrics walk-in

Good to know (kinda!) that is another glitch. I figure I'll be sending my n400 before I hear about this one.

Hi everyone,

just a quick note for those who want to file N400 while their I751 is pending.

in order to file n400 you will need to include copy of your green card in the package.

since your I751 is still pending which means you do not have 10 years green card in your hands you will not be able to include green card in your package

that means you have to wait until your i751 is approved and green card mailed out to you

This is incorrect.

A copy of your expired 2yr card, your I-751 extension letter and a (brief) cover note will suffice.

CR1 / DCF (London): 2012 / 2013 (4 months from I-130 petition to visa in hand)

I-751 #1- April 2015 [Denied]

April 2015 : I-751 Joint filing package sent fedex next day 09:00am from UK ($lots - thanks).
Jan 2017: Notification that an interview has been scheduled at a local office. Bizarrely still no RFE...
Jan 2017: 2hr wait, then interview terminated before it began, due to moving my ID to another state 2 wks prior. New interview 'in a few months...maybe.'   Informed them that divorce proceedings are underway, but not finalised at this time.
March 2017: An Interview was scheduled - marked as no-show as they didn't actually send out a notification of interview. FML
April  2017: Filed an official complaint with the ombudsman, and have requested Senator & Congressman assistance
August 2017: Interview - switched to a (finalised) divorce waiver. Told that decision will be made that afternoon, but no problems foreseen with my case.
October 2017: Letter of Denial received - reason given as 'I-751 petition was not properly filed'. Discovered ex-spouse made false allegations to USCIS in 2015. No opportunity given to review & refute allegations  - contrary to USCIS policy.

I-751 #2 - Oct 2017 - Mar 2021[Denied]

October 2017: Within 72hrs of receiving denial notice, a new waiver I-751, divorce decree & $680 cheque, sent to Vermont via FedEx overnight 9am priority.
Dec 2019: Filed FOIA request for full A# file
Feb 2020: FOIA request completed - entire A# file received as a .PDF; 197 pages fully redacted, and 80 partially redacted. Don't waste your time!
March 2021: I-751 #2 denied for lack of evidence. No RFE, no interview, and evidence in previous I-751 not reviewed - contrary to policy. Huge errors in adjudication.

N-400 - Feb 2018 - Apr 2021 [Denied]

February 2018: N-400 filed online.  $725 paid to the USCIS paperwork wastage fund

February  2019: Interview - cancelled after a four hour wait due to 'missing paperwork' on their end. Promised Expedited reschedule.

March 2021: Interview letter received, strangely dated after I-751 denial. No I-751 interview conducted. N-400 interview and test passed, given 'cannot make a decision at this time' paper due to the ongoing I-751 nightmare...

April 2021: N-400 denial received citing recent I-751 denial as basis for ineligibility, even though it should have been a combo interview 🤯

I AM JACK'S COMPLETE LACK OF SURPRISE

Service Motion - March 2021 [Sent via FedEx & COMPLETELY IGNORED by USCIS]

March 2021: Service Motion request sent overnight addressed direectly to field office director, requesting urgent review and re-opening, based on errors in adjudication - citing USCIS policy, AFM and memorandums as basis for errors. This was completely ignored by USCIS.

 I-751 #3 - June 2021 - Jan 2024 [Denied]

IT'S GROUNDHOG DAY

June 2021: I-751 #3 (30+lbs/5000 pages of paperwork) & another $680 sent to USCIS via FedEx ($300+..thanks) ....

June 2021: Receipt issued, card charged, biometrics waived, infopass scheduled for I-551 stamp number ten.....

Feb 2022: RFIE (no, not an RFE, a Request For Initial Evidence) received, for copies of the divorce paperwork that they already have 😑

July 2022: Infopass for I-551 stamp number eleven.....

August 2023: Infopass for I-551 stamp number twelve....

January 2024: Denial received, ignoring the overwhelming majority of the filing, abundance of evidence, and refutation of a provably false allegation. The denial also contradicts itself in multiple places, as if it was written by someone with an IQ <50.

HAPPY NEW YEAR

2024: FML. Seriously. I'm done.

Yes,  this is incorrect as mindthegap stated. I asked that question this week, wondering how you could file for the N400 without a GC and was told by someone who was actually in the proceeds of doing so that you could use a photo copy of your conditional GC with the extension card or/and the I55i stamp.  There have been lots and lots of fellow vjer's who have successfully filed for N400 whilst they still are awaiting news about ROC.  So don't let the lack of GC put you off if it is your intention to apply for Naturalization  Good luck!.
