Sometimes it helps to view other cases from your home country (here in visajourney) to have an idea of the timelines. For us in Mexico we have very long waits. Pur U.S. embassy in Cd Juarez will process thousands of visas per day. It is the largest U.S. embassy in the world, so we will be waiting for several months. Philippines should be shorter.

hi RRR20116,

I am curious why your assigned embassy is Armenia.  Is that just a typo on your profile?

4 months and 1 week and counting.  We can't wait to receive the NOA2 for our parents.

Same here my friend.. mine was received on the 4th October. Nothing yet.  NSC seems to be moving slowly

If God takes us to it, He'll bring us through it. He'll never take us where His grace cannot reach and keep us

NVC notification email arrived last night.  Called and made sure they had the info they needed, and should be able to pay the $120 fee tomorrow.

On 2017-02-23, the National Visa Center (NVC) received your Form DS-261 (Choice of Address and Agent). NVC is reviewing this form.
What do I need to do now?
You do not need to do anything now but wait. Once NVC reviews your Form DS-261, NVC will send your agent* a letter or email with next steps.
If your agent does not receive a letter or an email by 2017-03-16 after submitting Form DS-261, please contact NVC by phone at +1-603-334-0700 or send us a question online at: http://nvc.state.gov/ask
*An agent is NVC's point of contact for your case. This could be you, a relative, friend, immigration organization or lawyer. Your agent needs a reliable email or mailing address that is checked regularly. We will use these address to send information about your case. Your agent is expected to respond to instructions and requests for items that we send in a timely fashion.

Hi, I think it is the website's mistake. Both my profile and my child's indicate Armenia, despite the fact we chose our country. I tried fixing it but was not corrected. Still waiting on the NOA. Hopefully in April.

:jest:Hi everyone, I am newbie here and I wanted to join in this thread for updates for the same case.    I applied I-130 for both my parents on September 2016.  I hope I can join with you guys here eventhough this is October thread hehehe... how are you guys doing with your petition?  Any updates?

Here is my timeline of my petition so far:

09/14/16 - Send petition to Phoenix, AZ

09/16/16 - Receipt date
11/22/16 - Approval notice
12/06/16 - Case sent to NVC
12/19/16 - Received NVC welcome letter
12/20/16 - I did ds-261 change agent name
12/20/16 - paid AOS online $120 for both
12/21/16 - showed "paid" online
12/22/16 - received note that have to pay 325$ for IV
01/31/17 - paid $325 each for NVC IV
02/01/17 - showed "paid" online
02/04/17 - fill out  ds-260, i-864/i-864a and Affidavit of support
02/13/17 - submit supporting documents to NVC
02/14/17 - NVC received the supporting documents
02/21/17 - I checked status online and my father's  AOS says it was rejected on 01/31 so i paid $325 today
02/22/17 - showed "paid" online

(Still patiently waiting for the next step) hehehe

Hi Monica7777 and j-Zelous,  Our cases are very similar (You guys have exactly the same 10/4/16 PD) with my parent's PD being 10/13/16 at Nebraska.  None of us have received any status from our petitions yet.  Another person in the November forum stated that his parent's petitions have PDs of 10/4/16 from Nebraska and he received a 797c notice letting him know that his parent's petitions were transferred to the Texas service center to "speed up the processing".

Hopefully our cases don't get transferred since that will mean at least another month of processing time...hopefully we receive NOA2 soon.  I will post any status that I receive regarding my parent's IR-5 petitions soon as I get them.  best of luck to all of us.

Hi everyone I have question regarding the aos. Since I petition my mom and dad, so I'll use I-864 then my husband i864a since we filed joint. But I'm scared that my income wont support my mom & dad so I'm planning to have a support from my inlaw. Is she gonna use i864 too for my dad? I864 for my mom and another i864 for my dad? Thank you in advance

Hi joycemaem, Does your husband make enough money to be the joint sponsor? Does you and your husband combine annual income meet the minimum income level? If so then you should not need to include your inlaw.

Hi hope101, I checked in the poverty guideline, I have 2 kids so it's gonna be household size of 6 which is $41,200 in poverty guideline and as of 2016 we had $45,000 combined income but we have new jobs now both fulltime.
