So I am getting tried in the whole administrative process. I attended my interview Nov 28th where I was given a green slip 221 (g) only stating that additional processing is needed. My interview went fine I was asked general questions. But I have checked the CEAC site and the stats is still "Ready". It has been 53 days and not type of update on status. I have email the embassy once and the response I received was:

Dear Sir/Madam:

Thank you for contacting the U.S. Embassy, Dhaka.

This is in response to your inquiry of January 12, 2017.

Please be advised that your case is still pending additional review. A decision on this case cannot be made until U.S. Embassy, Dhaka finishes its review. Review times vary due to factors beyond our control and we are unable to expedite or speculate about review times.  We will contact you as soon as the process is complete.

We hope the above information is helpful.

Sincerely,

Consular Section

Embassy of the United States

Dhaka, Bangladesh

When I emailed the embassy my inquiry was about why have my status not change from "Ready" to "Administrative Processing" at least and that was the response. My case dates have not been updated regularly as only 2 time in Dec it was touched and once this month after I sent my inquiry. Why are they not doing that one small thing to change status to AP?

They need to do more checking ^ there's no specific times on AP

Thanks for your response.  But I was asking why they have not changed status from ready to AP, not about how long it would take to complete the process.

My visa category is K-1. At my interview I received the 221 g slip. From what I understand at any point in the process they can give the 221 g. As I did not have to submit any documents I don't know much about the saimon center.
