Has anyone had trouble to travel with advence parol?

We've applied for my AOS and I recently received my working permit and supposedly the same card is valid as my advance parol for the trip home. I don't expect to receive green card by then (30th May 2017), since we applied for AOS on like 15th September 2016 and we all know this thing takes forever...specially in Texas it's supposedly up to 380days.

So I was happy to get the parole but then another girl in the same situation told me that she wouldn't dare to travel with parol coz it's not completely certain that I'll be able to re-entry the US- is that true? Should I rather wait till I get  Green card or is it completely ok to travel home with parole? Has anyone had bad experiences with parole?

Thank you for your info and help

Best Regards,

Kristina

This is quite shocking, if you ask me...I wonder if other countries like EU have it the same... Now I'm not sure if I dare to travel or not...for I'm already immigrated from my country and permanent address is in US...I basically then can't go anywhere...they must be crazy...

How is it crazy?  Why should anyone but a citizen have that right?

You are taking it the wrong way. You ARE free to travel now. There shouldn't be a problem. The point Transborder wife was making is that by not being a US citizen there is still technically a possibility you could be denied re-entry in the US. In your situation it probably will NOT happen. But a permanent resident is still capable of being denied.

Thank you NuestaUnion!!! Now I understand the whole situation...I thought that now even with all the paperwork through and all I'll have problems at the border - which I never had before. They never even looked at me twice so far.

But in this note...there accrues another question: When I arrive at the airport...do I still go into the line of EU / or sometimes they only have others? Like you either go into line with ESTA, EU or others or US citizen...I don't like to stand in lines and I usually prepare well- like OCD well- that I'm done with all asap...

Upon arrival to the US, permanent residents line up with US citizens. Not sure about AP, I would assume the "Non-US Citizens" line since you're not an LPR nor a USC. Just ask the lady standing where the lines split up, there's usually someone directing people in either line.

This is reverse of the EU, where permanent residents of the EU still have to line up in the "all passports" line instead of "EU/CH/EEA Ctiziens" line.
