Your theory may be right about delays with those category of applicants but I don't know why that would be the case. If you provided sufficient evidence and satisfied USCIS such that you got approved for conditional GC, why would they delay your application for ROC because of that particular reason? For the first application (I-145), the burden of proof is on you. For the the second application (I-751), the burden of proof is mostly on them.

I registered my email address and phone number on my account of USCIS.

 

Fortunately I got both texts and emails when my status had changed. (One is for card production, another is when card was mailed.) 

 

Now I'm waiting for my new card.

Another status change for me - Card was mailed today. Can get it as early as Saturday but more likely to come next week.

The burden of proof is always on you (us). Even more so for ROC. They really don't expect that much evidence with AOS because most people are newlyweds. ROC commands more evidence because you need to show 2 years worth of proof of a good faith marriage.

Did you check your spam/junk folder? Could have gotten filtered out.

I got both text and email with my first status change but only got text message this time.

My Aos interview took over two hours and hundreds of questions because lack of evidence (or maybe i had overstayed visa) but we both gave probably all the same answers separately.

For the Roc we put every documents that required including travel together to my home country (pics with family, receipts, etc.).

I am just curious after checking every approvals and seeing that they're mostly applied from their home country and thinking they process them faster since they have longer relationships together. 

I don't know maybe I just have bad luck with this type of stuff.

My AOS interview was hellish as well and for partly the same reason - lack of evidence. Less evidence for AOS than ROC may be understandable, especially in cases where the marriage is only a few months old but you still need some form of evidence. 

 

You had a Stokes Interview the first time around? Wow. 

 

You'll likely hear something on your case soon. Hoping it's an approval.

My email alert came in about an hour after the text alert. Not sure why. They came in at around the same time with the first change in online status.

Date I received the letter: 04/20/2017 (No status change on the website)

Website Update 1: 4/24/2017 (Text + Email Alert of "Ordered New Card")

Website Update 2: 4/27/2017 (Text + Email Alert of "Mailed the Card")

 

I will keep it posted for the mailed date and received date of the GC

I guess I didn't articulate that well. I agree that the burden of proof is always on the applicant to get their application approved. However, if a joint petition ROC is denied and the case goes to an immigration judge in removal proceedings, this is what the law says about burden of proof (copied from USCIS website):

 

"(2) Denial. If the director denies the joint petition, he or she shall provide written notice to the alien of the decision and the reason(s) therefor and shall issue a notice to appear under section 239 of the Act and 8 CFR part 1239. The alien's lawful permanent resident status shall be terminated as of the date of the director's written decision. The alien shall also be instructed to surrender any Permanent Resident Card previously issued by the Service. No appeal shall lie from the decision of the director; however, the alien may seek review of the decision in removal proceedings. In such proceedings the burden of proof shall be on the Service to establish, by a preponderance of the evidence, that the f acts and information set forth by the petitioners are not true or that the petition was properly denied."

Maybe all y'all knew this already...but I did a Google search and found out that all green cards are printed in Corbin, Kentucky.  So if you live in California or Maine, it's going to take a few days longer for your green card to get to your mailbox....

It's not a new article (from 2011), but I was curious as to where the cards were actually fabricated.  It's kind of interesting seeing what kind of anti-forgery techniques they use.
