I know this is a January 2017 filer, i supposed to send my mom's i-130 last week of january but i was too busy to do it. I have most possible requirements that needs to be pass. I wonder if anybody can help me with the cover letter of my mom's i-130? Any example? I would really appreciate it. I am as well confuse about the G-325A? And any pictures that needs to be send? I look forward to hear any replies soon :)

Hi Nate and Riyn,

You don't need to include to G-325A. That's for spousal petition.

I will send you a  copy of the cover letter I sent with my mother's petition after work. (though I am yet approved).

I saved the file on my computer at home.

I included 2 pictures of me and my mother. Some advised, that a copy of remittance would help as well .

Hi Nate and Riyn!

I didn't include a cover letter or photos for my mom's petition. What I sent was the $535 check, G-325, I-130, photocopies of my birth certificate, marriage certificate and naturalization certificate.

My bad. It was G-1145 I included for my mom's petition. My priority date is January 9th and the petition was forwarded to the Potomac Service Center.

The bill, "Reforming American Immigration for Strong Employment Act" (RAISE Act), would limit the number of family-based visas so that only spouses and unmarried minor children of citizens and permanent residents can get green cards. Currently the law also allows for parents of citizens, as well as siblings, both married and unmarried children over 21, along with their spouses and minor children.

One exception would be allowed. Elderly parents in need of caretaking would be able to get renewable temporary visas, but the parents would not be allowed to work, receive public benefits, and they would have to show guaranteed support of health insurance by the sponsoring children.

what do you guys think of the new proposal of cutbacks on legal immigration? would it affect the petitions already submitted? :o

I don't think submitted applications will be affected by this. There are thousands of people who already paid for these petitions and I don't think they will just put all those to the trash.
