According to recent VJ Timelines, Dallas field office filers has an approximate wait time of 8-9 months from the date of filing to the date of the interview, with people who filed as early as November still waiting for their interview letters. Given that you are a January filer, expect an interview in or around September and your interview letter to arrive in or around August as a result.

Not many recent VJ Timelines come from Oaklahoma City field office filers, so it's hard to make an accurate determination when to expect your interview letter. But the most recent came from an April 2016 filer who had the interview date 6 months from the date of filing. Given that you are a January filer, this would place you in line for a July interview if we are to go by that. So expect an interview letter any day now.

Most recent VJ timelines show Chicago filers to have an approximate wait time of 4-5 months from the date of filing to the date of interview, so you would be overdue now based on that. HOWEVER Chicago seemed to vary a lot last year, going from 4-5 months to 8 months and back to 4-5 months at the end. This year, so far, everyone from January onwards is still waiting for their letter. Expect it any day.

Thanks. My iPad doesn't allow me to correct the font. So from now on I'll just have someone do it for me, as I had been before my attempt.

So the question is do you follow up on case status (submit an inquiry) after 90 days of being In-Line, or only follow up when your priority date already passed the Processing Time posted on the USCIS website? (Not sure if this was already addressed here before).

According to VJ Timelines, everyone since October whose file is at the San Francisco field office is still waiting, so an inquiry probably won't do anything specific for your case, as there is obviously a slowdown going on there. The last VJers that got interviews were a few in September who each had a 3 month wait time from the date they filed to an interview in December. But throughout 2016, wait times were typically from 7-10 months, and that's what it looks like is happening again. I'd venture to guess you'll be seeing your letter sometime in the late summer (July- September).

I am writing on behalf of my husband.

Do you mind including him in the timetable first.

09/10/2013 , 01/07/17, 01/12/17,02/02/17,02/06/17

my local office is Boston

My question is his status changed to :On April 17, 2017, we scheduled an interview for your Form N-400

and no letter yet.

Called before 17-th of May and I was told that we should wait for the letter that their system indicates that it has not been send.

I called again last week and the officer told me that the online status can change back and forth and that my husband should wait.

Does anybody experience such a long wait to receive an interview letter after their online status changed?

I scheduled an info pass on 31st of May but my husband could not make it.
